We hosted a packed panel discussion on unlocking NEMT growth at this year’s NEMTAC conference! Four experienced providers walked us through how they navigated different stages of their business — from start-up, growth, and expansion, to exit.

• Paul shared how he got most of his initial trips from joining an association for placement agents who help place seniors in nursing homes

• Jeanine explained how accepting all hospital discharge trips - including riders who are homeless or have mental health challenges - gets her a LOT more hospital business

• Rachel discussed how automating your service to run without you - with both standard processes and dispatching tech - will get you a much better price if you choose to sell

• RJ cautioned that you should only buy an ambulance and go upmarket into BLS (basic life support) if there’s a lack of local BLS competition
