How to Retire Rich from NEMT webinar

I had Daniel Baker and Jason Van Horn from NW Mutual on to discuss how to manage finances in NEMT, with the goal of setting up a great retirement. A few things I learned personally:

• ​It’s important to keep business and personal funds in completely separate accounts to avoid personal assets like your home becoming targets in a lawsuit

• Having a separate LLC for each type of business (e.g., homecare) or each region shields the other parts of the business from lawsuits

• Daniel and Jason offer totally free consultations if you want to discuss financial planning for your business or your family - I did one myself and found it helpful

Duet will have a booth at The Transportation Alliance’s Mobilize conference in Las Vegas, Nov 4 - 6. Unlike NEMTAC, TTA has a lot of taxi, black car, and other nonmedical services, but NEMT has become an increasingly popular topic.
